The National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NAS RK) is a republican public association, which includes the most advanced part of scientists of Kazakhstan - full members (academicians) and corresponding members of the Academy. NAS RK unites 252 members (163 academicians and 89 corresponding members), 16 foreign and 94 honorary members of NAS RK, 41 collective members and 6 professors of NAS RK.
The founder of the Center of Scientific Thought in Kazakhstan, Academician Kanysh Satpayev, was also directly involved in the construction. It was he who laid the first stone of the building of the Academy of Sciences, which became the flagship of Russian science.
